There is nothing I like more than a close-by, delicious restaurant giving me an even greater reason to go visit. What other reason would I need if happy hour is in the sentence? Done! I was at Blue Cow Kitchen that day!

The menu was a little limited, but the prices were quite reasonable, I’m pretty sure everything we ordered was around came to $15, maybe a little more. The drinks were nice too, nothing super innovative, but decent, and again, well priced.

We ordered the “Pork Belly Bahn Mini Sliders – pickled vegetables, sweet herbs, cilantro aioli on 2 mini rolls”. The pork was succulent and perfect- not too sweet. It was not like fall off the bone soft, it was firm but in a good, charred, satisfying way. The herbs also gave it great balance, the herbs were not overbearing and the cilantro in the aioli balanced the fat out.

The “Pink Eggs and Ham – beet marinated deviled eggs w/Mendocino mustard, double smoked bacon and candied jalapeños”. These were interesting, the beet marinade really penetrated into the egg whites and lent them a surprisingly sweet overtone. Yolks + bacon = amazing, and the heat from the jalapeños was much appreciated.

Will be back Blue Cow Kitchen!
